Configuring AxioWorks SQList

Configuring AxioWorks SQList to publish the articles to the SQL database

At this point, we have we need to configure SQList and start the replication of the article list onto the SQL database.It is assumed you already have a copy of SQList installed on your machine. Read our article Getting Started with SQList for information about the istallation steps. Launch SQList Manager from the Start menu (by default, Start > Programs > AxioWorks > AxioWorks SQList > SQList Manager) and start the service as shown below.

5.1 The first thing to do is configure the connection to the SQL database just created. In SQList Manager, select the Target Databases tab and click the Add Database button; you will be presented with a form where you can fill all the connection settings.

Important: make sure you enable the connection (Database Enabled option). Also, remember to click the Save Changes button once you have entered all the details and tested the connection.

5.2 Next we configure the Sharepoint site to be replicated and select the target database were we want the article list published to. In SQList Manager, select the SharePoint Sites tab and click the Add Site button; you will be presented with a form where you can fill all the connection settings.

Important: make sure you enable the connection (Site Enabled option). Also, remember to click the Save Changes button once you have entered all the details and tested the connection.

5.3 Once all the settings are entered, click the Deploy Configuration button to makes them active.

All configuration settings are now completed and all is left is start SQList to replicate the article list to the database.
