AxioWorks SQList | How to get SSRS reports from live SharePoint data

How to get SSRS reports from live SharePoint data

SQList is the best way to create SSRS reports on real-time SharePoint lists and libraries.

How SQList makes SSRS reporting faster and easier

SQList replicates and continuously updates SharePoint lists within a SQL Server database. You just need to configure your SharePoint connections and database connections within SQList, then select the SharePoint lists and SharePoint document libraries you want to export.

SQList will remain in sync with your SharePoint data, giving you limitless access to up-to-the-second business intelligence. When you make changes in SharePoint, your database will automatically update.

Once your SharePoint lists and SQL database are synced, it’s incredibly easy to create SSRS charts from a live SharePoint list:

  1. In SSRS, open up Report Builder and select Chart Wizard. Choose the relevant SQL database as the data source for your report.
  2. Design a query to fetch the SharePoint data set for the report. Arrange the chart fields by dragging and dropping the relevant Values for your report.
  3. Click Run to generate an SSRS report built on live SharePoint data. Hit Publish and the new report will be added to the SSRS Report Server.

Do you use Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to share business intelligence with your colleagues? If so, SQList will equip you with everything you need to share insights based on real-time SharePoint data.

You won’t need to change how you create SSRS reports, charts or data visualisation, but your usual report-building processes will be enhanced by increased accuracy and greater efficiency — perfect to encourage confident, faster and better decision-making across your organisation.

There are no new languages or tools for you to learn. A basic understanding of SSRS and how to connect to SQL Server tables is all you need to get going. Once that’s configured you’ll be able to create SSRS charts from live SharePoint data within a few seconds.
