In this article, we will be exploring how we can manage the existing database connections.
Once you click on the "Database Connections" option, it will open up the list of existing database connections. The manage database connections pane shows the main properties of the database connection and their current state. Also, you can perform few operations like editing the database connection, deleting a connection or even creating a duplicate connection from an existing one.
The main properties that you can view in the pane are:
Also, you can edit an existing database connection by clicking on the edit button. As soon as you click on the edit button, it will open an edit pane on the right side. You can make changes in the connection and save it.
Also, if you want to create a similar connection to an existing one, then you can click on the duplicate icon against the connection. As soon as you click on it, it will open a duplicate connection pane on the right side. You can make changes to any of the properties if required and then save it.
Also, if you want to create a new connection altogether then you can click on "New database connection" button on the right bottom corner. It will open up a new database connection pane where you can provide all the mandatory details like Server name, instance name, database name, authentication details, etc. and create a new connection.
